Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb green cabbage (chopped)
  • 3 medium carrots (grated)
  • 1 small green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 small red onion (diced)
  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp celery seeds
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a shallow glass dish, layer chopped cabbage, grated carrots, chopped bell pepper, diced red onion, and chopped green onions.
  2. Sprinkle the vegetables with garlic salt, celery seeds, and lemon pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine vinegar, oil, and sugar; bring to a boil and stir until sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the hot dressing evenly over the layered vegetables.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving. Stir well before serving.
