  • 6 cups mixed apples (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 prepared pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Toss them in a bowl with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  4. Fill the crust with the apple mixture and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it.
  5. Cover with another layer of crust and cut slits for venting.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving; drizzle with remaining caramel sauce.
