Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three round cake pans with butter and lightly dust with flour.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream unsalted butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually blend dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternating with milk. Divide the batter into three bowls.
  5. Fold cocoa powder into one bowl for chocolate batter and mix strawberry puree into another; leave the third as vanilla.
  6. Pour each batter into its respective pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
