  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather and prepare all ingredients by chopping onions and slicing mushrooms.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined. Form into four patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the patties until browned on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms until softened (around 5 minutes). Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce while scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  5. Return patties to the skillet and simmer in gravy for about 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
  6. Serve on plates with generous gravy poured over them, alongside mashed potatoes or steamed veggies.
