Method

  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in the cherries evenly throughout the batter.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon before adding diced butter. Blend until you achieve a mixture resembling coarse crumbs.
  6. Spoon the muffin batter into each prepared muffin cup, filling them about two-thirds full. Sprinkle an equal amount of cobbler topping over each muffin batter.
