  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar crystals

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butterscotch chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the chow mein noodles gently, coating them completely.
  5. Use two spoons or a scoop to drop small mounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle each haystack with sugar crystals.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until set.
