Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries washed
  • 1 medium orange zested and juiced
  • 1 medium apple peeled and diced
Sweeteners and Spices
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preserving Agent
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, and diced apple.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and lemon juice to the saucepan.
Cook the Jam
  1. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the mixture thickens.
Jar the Jam
  1. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
  2. Seal the jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
