Baking
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper. Grease well.
- Lay out a clean kitchen towel and dust it with powdered sugar.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in pumpkin puree.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually stir dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 13–15 minutes.
- Immediately turn hot cake onto the prepared towel. Peel off parchment and roll the cake with the towel. Let cool.
Filling Preparation
- Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Carefully unroll the cooled cake. Spread the filling evenly and re-roll without the towel.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
