Ingredients
  

  • 3 to 4 pounds turkey wings
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 each bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pat turkey wings dry and season with paprika, seasoned salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat oil and sear turkey wings on both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add more oil if needed. Sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic until softened.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir, and slowly add chicken broth while whisking to make the gravy.
  6. Let the gravy simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the turkey wings to the pan, nestling them in the gravy.
  8. Cover and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the wings are fork-tender.
  9. Serve hot with plenty of gravy over your favorite side dish.
