Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease lightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingers until crumbly.
- Pour in cold buttermilk and mix just until dough forms.
- Turn dough onto floured surface, pat into rectangle, fold 2–3 times, then roll to 1-inch thick.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place on baking sheet, sides touching.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden. Brush tops with butter if desired.
