Ingredients

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of choice
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method

Cook the Pasta
  1. In a large pot, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the spaghetti, chicken broth, water, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
Finish the Dish
  1. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and grated parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
