Ingredients

Pork Chops
  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
Apple Butter Sauce
  • 1 cup apple butter store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar for tanginess
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Cooking Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon butter for flavor

Method

Prepare the Pork Chops
  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the Pork Chops
  1. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Make the Apple Butter Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the apple butter, apple cider vinegar, and ground cinnamon.
  2. Once the pork chops are cooked, reduce heat to low and add the apple butter mixture to the skillet.
  3. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chops to glaze them.
Serve
  1. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Serve warm, drizzled with the remaining apple butter sauce.
