- Heat a skillet over medium-high with a bit of oil and sear diced steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the same pan, stirring until fragrant.
- Add dry pasta and enough water or broth to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer and cook until pasta is tender (about 12 minutes).
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return steak to the pan with any juices. Stir to coat everything in the sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot.
