Ingredients

  • 4 large tortillas made from flour The foundation of your quesadilla, providing the perfect crunchy texture.
  • 1/2 cup turkey pepperoni slices A leaner alternative to traditional pepperoni, adding a delightful flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil Essential for achieving a golden, crispy exterior.
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning blend for Italian dishes Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded The star ingredient that gives this dish its melty goodness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Adds an aromatic touch that complements the other ingredients.
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce The classic dipping sauce that brings all the flavors together.

Method

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Put the tortillas on a flat table. Take a spoonful of pizza sauce and spread it over one side of each tortilla.
  2. Add Cheese and Pepperoni: Scatter around 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella on top of the sauce. Then, evenly place the turkey pepperoni slices over the cheese layer.
  3. Season Your Fillings: Sprinkle a tiny bit of garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the fillings. Then, fold each tortilla in half to hold everything together.
  4. Cook Your Quesadillas: Warm a dab of butter or pour some olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add one or two folded tortillas to the pan, depending on the size.
  5. Flip and Finish Cooking: Flip after 2-3 minutes per side, cooking until the outside is golden and the cheese has melted inside.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Take off the heat, give it a minute to cool, then cut into wedges. Enjoy warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
