Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions optional

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger over medium heat.
  2. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth.
  4. Slowly pour the slurry into the sauce while stirring constantly.
  5. Let simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
  7. Serve immediately or let cool and store in a sealed container.
