- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Peel and boil sweet potatoes until fork-tender, then mash until smooth.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed sweet potatoes with 1/2 cup brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
- Spread mixture evenly in prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix chopped pecans with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and sprinkle over the sweet potatoes.
- Top with mini marshmallows in an even layer.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden and puffed.
- Serve warm.
