  • 1 3 to 4 pound beef brisket
  • 1 14-ounce can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme optional

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pat brisket dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil and sear brisket on both sides until browned.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together cranberry sauce, beef broth, onion soup mix, garlic, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Place seared brisket in slow cooker. Pour glaze over the top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–6 hours, until fork tender.
  6. Remove brisket, let it rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  7. Serve with sauce from slow cooker spooned over the top.
