Ingredients
  

  • 6 large eggs Essential base for the deviled eyeballs.
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise Adds creaminess to the filling.
  • 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard Provides an extra kick of flavor.
  • 3 drops red food dye Gives that spooky eyeball appearance.
  • 12 medium cocktail olives Makes the perfect 'pupil' for each eyeball.
  • 3 slices white bread Base for those who prefer bread instead of crackers.
  • to taste salt & pepper Enhancing overall flavor.

Method
 

  1. Boil the eggs by placing them in a pot filled with cool water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 20 minutes. Transfer to cold water for 2-5 minutes, then peel.
  2. Slice each peeled egg in half and remove the yolks. Push yolks through a strainer into a bowl. Mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add red food dye or beet juice to the yolk mixture until the desired color is achieved.
  4. Toast bread circles if using, then fill each egg half with the yolk mixture and place an olive on top.
  5. Serve the assembled deviled eyeballs on the toasted bread or crackers.
