  • 250 ml Milk Forms the foundation of the delicious cheese sauce.
  • 70 g Cheddar (grated) Provides sharpness and depth to the flavor profile.
  • 30 g Parmesan (grated) Enhances creaminess and adds a nutty note.
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan (grated) Additional parmesan for topping.
  • to taste Salt Essential seasoning to balance the flavors.
  • to taste Pepper Essential seasoning to balance the flavors.
  • 30 g Breadcrumbs Gives a crispy topping when baked.
  • 1 clove Garlic (crushed) Infuses aromatic flavor into the breadcrumb mixture.
  • 0.5 tbsp Parsley (chopped) Adds freshness and color to garnish.

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F to ensure even baking.
  2. Cook the gnocchi according to packet instructions until they float, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of truffle butter. Whisk in the flour for a couple of minutes before gradually adding milk, continuing to whisk until thickened into a rich sauce.
  4. In a food processor, combine the remaining truffle butter, breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic, and parsley. Blend until mixed thoroughly.
  5. Add cheddar and additional parmesan to your thickened sauce, stirring until completely melted. Season generously with salt and pepper before mixing in cooked gnocchi.
  6. Transfer your gnocchi mixture into a baking dish and evenly sprinkle on the breadcrumb topping. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown on top.
